7 Hacks to Make Fragrance Last Longer

•I have always had this issue where in, any kind of fragrance like mist, lotions, perfumes wouldn’t last that long on my body. You all know how it feels when you buy or are gifted an expensive perfume and the smell barely lasts. You start doubting the product. In spite of spraying continuously and may be finishing a good amount of perfume, the smell would fade away in an hour. So in order to make any kind of liquid fragrance last longer, try these tips. I have tried them all and believe me, they are wonderful. I am so loving these ideas and they have helped me a lot.

P.S – I have dry skin.

1. Do not store your fragrances in the bathroom.

Certain factors like heat, light and humidity will lessen the quality and it will break down the perfume. Store them in a cool, dry place like your wardrobe.

2. Apply Vaseline on your pulse points before spraying the perfume. (LOVE THIS ONE)

This tip is my favourite one. The ointment, which is occlusive will hold the fragrance to your skin than if it were to be sprayed on dry skin. And I have extremely dry skin. So this tip works wonders for me. Makes my skin smell amazing for so long.

3. Apply an unscented lotion before applying any fragrance.

Oily complexions retain fragrances longer, so if you have dry skin, use a moisturizer first to help lock in the scent.

4. Apply perfume/deodorant immediately after taking shower.

The moisture on your skin will help lock in the scent. This will also prevent the fragrance from staining delicate clothes or jewelry.

5. Do not rub your wrists after spraying perfume.

The top notes will disappear faster than intended if you rub your wrists and as a result the smell will not last for long.

6. Target pulse points and warm areas on your body when spraying perfume.

Certain warm areas on your body will help the scent to last longer. These are your – wrists, ears, collarbone, elbow and knees.

7. For a lighter scent, spray the fragrance in the air and slowly walk into the mist.

The spray will distribute evenly across your body and leave you with a hint of fragrance for occasions when you don’t want to smell as strong.

Dr. Rashel Black Mask Review

Hello guys!

I’m very choosy and particular about what I apply on my face. As I have very sensitive skin, anything that doesn’t suit my skin makes my skin red and itchy. And that is why, I use very mild products. Even when it comes to makeup, I make sure nothing is very harsh on my skin and I do not rub it too much to remove the makeup. Honestly, I hate removing makeup as it makes me all red and dry. But well, you have to do it.

I usually go for home remedies because I know what works best on my skin. Oils, scrubs, masks, all HOMEMADE. And believe me, they work way more efficiently than ready made products. I have really dry, flaky skin on and around my nose. I usually use the Nivea nose and forehead, chin strips to remove any white heads. But sadly, they are very limited and running out of them when you need them badly is the worst thing ever. Since I was already hunting for a peel-off mask to remove the whiteheads and dead skin, I came across the Dr. Rashel Black Mask. After reading and watching some good reviews, I finally ordered it and tried it. After using it a few times, I can now give my review on it.

The packaging is really nice as you can remove the product as per requirement. I applied the product only on my nose and chin as I have more product build up there and dry skin. So I left it for a good 15 minutes and peeled it off. Upon peeling you feel as if it removes all the deeply buried junk. When I finally had the peeled product in front me, I wasn’t very satisfied. It did an ok job in clearing my skin. It did make my skin a little smooth but not as per the expectations. It removed the dead skin and some white heads but I had really high hopes because of the Nivea strips. So I wouldn’t mind using the mask if I’m running out of the strips or if I feel my skin doesn’t need a lot of clean up.

Are there any products that you guys would recommend me? Have you tried this mask? Did you like it? Let me know in the comments below. 💖

8 HAIR MASKS THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR HAIR GAME

There are many people out there who aren’t happy with the way their hair is. The one with curly hair wants straight hair and vice versa. But with all the straighteners and curlers, I think there’s nothing we cannot get. I probably cannot live without my straightener. But have we ever wondered how much damage do these appliances cause to our hair? I don’t know how much the heat protectant spray helps, as I never take the pain to use it. And now that I am a mother, I barely have time to even oil my hair. Back in those days when I was in high school, I would have a hair mask in my hair every alternate day or at least once in 2-3 days. I always kept trying new hair masks and believe me, my hair would turn out so smooth and soft. There’s absolutely no such ingredient that I haven’t applied in my hair. Hair masks are a blessing. They actually work wonders if applied regularly and dedicatedly. And rather than buying the expensive readymade hair masks, you can make your own. You can add whatever you like and at least you will know what you are applying. I will list down the hair masks that I have personally tried and have no side effects at all.

WINTER IS COMING

Hello all. Not sure if I’ve mentioned this earlier but I live in Kuwait. After the very long summer, it’s now time for winter. Winters are very chilly here where the temperature drops down to even 0 C. I know thats nothing compared to some parts of the world but yeah, thats how it is. Winters mean dry skin and flaky scalps. I suffer from eczema. I have a hard time moisturizing my skin in winter.  My best remedy is to dab on oil on my face, hands, legs, elbows. Just a little bit is enough. It cures almost everything. It has so many other uses apart from cooking especially beauty purposes. Below I am going to list all the uses of coconut oil that I have tried –

MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN

Use coconut oil in place of your daily moisturizer and feel the difference. Just use a few drops and see how you feel moisturized all day long. It can be mixed even with your daily moisturizer.

MOISTURIZING BATH

Add a teaspoon of coconut oil to feel relaxed and moisturized.

DIY FACE AND BODY SCRUB

The most inexpensive and efficient scrub is coconut oil mixed with sugar. Mix equal parts of sugar and coconut oil and use it to exfoliate your face and body to remove all those dead skin cells. Your skin will be so moisturized and smooth.

FOR BEAUTIFUL NAILS

Put just 2-3 drops of oil on your nails and see how beautiful they look. It even makes nails stronger and cuticles softer.

FIGHT FRIZZY HAIR

This one is a bit tricky to use. Just use a drop of oil and spread it in your hands as if applying hand lotion and then use the left over on your hair focusing on the ends and middle. I would recommend not to apply above that as it’ll look greasy.

BEST MAKEUP REMOVER

To be honest, I’ve used quite a few makeup removers so far but coconut oil is my favorite. And this is one of the best uses for me. Just take few drops of oil and rub it in your skin focusing on eyes. Just swipe it off with a cotton and see all the junk come off in seconds.

RELIEF FOR ECZEMA

Coconut oil is not at all harsh for eczema. It’s mild and moisturizing properties helps to reduce the itching, redness and flaky skin. Dab a few drops on the affected area.

Please comment below if you found this information helpful and have any other uses of coconut oil. Let me know if you would like to know uses of any other oil.

SCRUB THEM OFF

Remember those days when the best moisturiser for our lips was VASELINE? I don’t know about you all but I have only lived in that era. And I still live in it where for me, vaseline works the best. With the growing types of lip exfoliators and lip balms, its just so difficult to know what works best for our dry, chapped lips. And hell yeah I am one of them. Unfortunately I suffer from extremely dry lips. To be honest, I suck at moisturising my lips. It is right before applying my lipstick that I realise to put some lip balm which obviously doesn’t work. Then I struggle with the dry flaky skin. Upon thinking a lot, I thought of something rough and granular to remove that dead skin. And then I thought of the place where I will find it. Apparently, it was the kitchen. I have always used olive oil, sugar, honey and a dash of lemon as a face mask. It helps me get rid of my big pores and gives me a clear skin. It has been my quickest facial. So one day, I just thought that why can’t I let my lips benefit from it too? And it did wonders. Believe me, it will give you the softest lips ever. Here’s the way to do it –

Take one tea spoon of sugar (tablespoon if using for the face) and add olive oil, honey accordingly to make a paste. It shouldn’t be runny. Just add a dash of lemon as too much lemon will make your skin itchy. Do not wet your lips and lightly start massaging this mixture onto your lips. Go in circular motions and use a toothbrush if you want to. Keep the scrub on for 5-10 minutes and wash it off. And apply a lip balm or vaseline immediately to lock in the moisture.

Hope that helps guys! Have a rosy lippie day 😉
